Android Developer

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join a leading Defence sector project team for a 12-month contract. This role will involve working on high-impact mobile applications in a secure and mission-critical environment.
Security Clearance Requirement:
  • NV1 clearance required (Baseline may be considered for the right candidate)
Location:
  • Canberra, Melbourne, or Sydney
  • Must be available to work onsite at least 3 days per week at a Defence-cleared site
Key Responsibilities & Required Experience:
  • Develop and deploy native Android applications within corporate environments using Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools
  • Strong experience with Android Studio, Visual Studio Code, Telerik Fiddler Classic, and Docker Desktop
  • Configure mobile browsers, ideally with Ivanti Velocity Industrial Browser via Ivanti Console
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Mobile Platform SDK and SAP BTP SDK (desirable)
  • Use of SQL Anywhere Ultralite Mobile Database and Mobilink Replication Services
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps , including Repos, Pipelines, and Key Vault integration
  • Strong understanding of Android security (including Knox), APKs, Gradle, and emulator environments
  • Device and application integration with Azure Active Directory
  • Exposure to SAML , oData , HTML , JavaScript (UI5) , TCP/IP , and firewalls
