Our client is undergoing a greenfield transformation from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA. We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect to parachute into a complex, fast-moving program and help close out critical design decisions particularly for the Asia-Pacific rollout.
This is a hands-on architecture role suited to someone who thrives in ambiguity, can hit the ground running, and is confident engaging directly with senior finance stakeholders, including CFO-level leaders.
Key Focus Areas
- SAP S/4HANA Finance with strong coverage across:
- Service Accounting (primary focus – ~70–75%)
- Transition from service accounting to classic manufacturing accounting
- Revenue Recognition
- Advanced Intercompany Sales
- Standard Warranty
- Project Systems (PS)
- Optimised Contract Management
- Configuration is being delivered offshore – this role translates design, impacts, and outcomes clearly to senior finance leadership
- Support SAP best-practice design
- No functional specs writing – focus on As-Is / To-Be, gap-fit, and design decisions
- Greenfield SAP implementation with global scope:
- UK template already established
- Gap-fit and design closure for Asia-Pacific
- Multi-country considerations across finance, service, and PS
- Exposure to Material Ledger, Service Accounting, and PS use cases within S/4HANA
- Act as a trusted SAP Finance & Service Accounting architect, engaging directly with senior stakeholders
- Lead and close design decisions for APAC under tight timelines (targeting March)
- Clearly explain complex SAP concepts and configuration outcomes to non-technical executives
- Challenge assumptions, ask the right questions, and guide stakeholders toward best-practice SAP solutions
- Build strong relationships quickly in a high-expectation environment
- Operate confidently in workshops and meetings — direct, pragmatic, and outcome-focused
- Proven experience as an SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect on large, complex programs
- Strong background in CO (Material Ledger), Service Accounting, Revenue Recognition, and PS
- Experience with Advanced Intercompany Sales and global finance models
- Deep understanding of SAP best practices, not just custom solutions
- Comfortable stepping into an active program and delivering immediate value
- Highly verbal, credible, and confident engaging CFO-level stakeholders
