Sapture is partnering with a leading consultancy to recruit an experienced SAP Security Product Owner & Team Lead to take ownership of SAP Security delivery within a dedicated AMS environment.
This role is responsible for leading a specialist SAP Security team, acting as the primary client-facing contact, and ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient SAP operations across a complex SAP landscape, including SAP S/4HANA, Fiori, and SAP BTP.
You will combine hands-on SAP Security expertise, people leadership, and stakeholder engagement to drive high-quality outcomes tailored to a single, strategic client.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Delivery
- Lead, mentor, and develop a dedicated SAP Security team within an AMS model
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Ensure effective delivery of incidents, changes, and project activities in line with SLAs
- Monitor team performance and capability development
- Act as the primary SAP Security point of contact for the client
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders and provide proactive security advice
- Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes clearly and transparently
- Oversee security role design and governance across:
- SAP S/4HANA
- Fiori
- SAP BTP
- Integrated platforms (e.g. Ariba, SuccessFactors, HANA DB)
- Manage access provisioning, compliance, and audit readiness
- Conduct user access reviews, SoD analysis, and privileged access management
- Design and maintain secure access models across SAP BTP services
- Integrate SAP IAS and IPS for identity and access management
- Ensure secure access for custom applications, APIs, and workflows
- Partner with development teams to embed secure coding and RBAC practices
- Drive automation of access provisioning, role management, and compliance checks
- Enhance monitoring, reporting, and operational efficiency
- Ensure secure integrations across hybrid landscapes, including:
- SAP IAS / IAG
- SAP BTP
- MS Entra
- Third-party IAM tools (e.g. Okta)
- Strong background in SAP Security, ideally within an AMS environment supporting a single client or account
- Proven expertise across SAP S/4HANA, Fiori Security, and SAP BTP
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring technical teams
- Hands-on experience with:
- SAP GRC
- SAP IDM / SAP IAG
- MS Entra and/or Okta
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes (incident, problem, and change management)
- Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience securing SAP public cloud and BTP extension applications
- Knowledge of secure API and integration management within BTP
- Advanced automation experience for provisioning and compliance processes
- Work in a dedicated AMS environment focused on one enterprise client
- Take ownership of SAP Security strategy and delivery
- Lead a specialist team in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment
- Influence security outcomes across modern SAP and BTP platforms
