About the Role
Sapture is partnering with a leading enterprise-level organisation seeking an experienced Senior SAP Payroll Consultant to join their HR/Payroll systems team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality SAP Payroll (Australia) functional expertise across configuration, support, enhancement, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Consultant who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving, and working closely with HR, Payroll and IT stakeholders in a stable and mature SAP environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Bring expertise with complex Enterprise Bargaining Agreements.
- Lead end-to-end support and configuration activities for SAP Payroll Australia , including complex troubleshooting and functional enhancements.
- Manage and configure critical HR master data infotypes (PA20/PA30) and support Personnel Administration processes.
- Provide expert guidance on termination processing in Australia , including testing and configuration alignment with legislation.
- Configure and maintain wage type settings , including processing classes, cumulation classes, evaluation classes and valuation basis (01/T/TS).
- Maintain constants and reference values within table T511K .
- Support and enhance Work Schedules
including:
- Daily Schedules
- Period Work Schedules
- Work Schedule Rules
- Generation of work schedules
- Support and configure ESS/MSS and troubleshoot related integration points.
- Work with CATS (Cross Application Time Sheets) including configuration, validation and integration to HR/Payroll.
- Configure and maintain Pay Scale structures and pay scale increases.
- Manage and improve Organisational Management , including relationships between Positions and Organisational Units.
- Administer and configure Leave Accruals , including schema rules, T559L, Quota Groupings, and T5QTR.
- Utilise or support reporting enhancements via Spinifex Reporting Toolkit (experience desirable).
- Must have complex EBA experience (30 or more ideally)
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SAP Payroll Consultant (Australian Payroll essential).
- Strong expertise across Payroll schemas, rules, time evaluation and award interpretation.
- Demonstrated experience configuring wage types, processing classes, evaluation classes, cumulation classes.
- Solid understanding of Work Schedules, Time Management and Leave Quota generation.
- Experience supporting or configuring ESS/MSS, CATS and organisational management.
- Ability to communicate clearly with business users and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
- Experience with Spinifex Reporting Toolkit is a strong advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate and resolve complex issues.
